Creating
Prayer
Stations

A Prayer Station is usually located in sacred space, perhaps in a sanctuary, in the entry way of a worship center, or at a retreat center. Often prayers stations are inspired by scripture or spiritual themes. Prayer "pieces" and prayer cards can be included for persons to pick up and take with them. Prayer Stations are intended to be "interactive."  When I facilitate a Labyrinth Walk, a Prayer Vigil, or a Contemplative Retreat, I like to include prayer stations because many people have a hard time praying for long periods of time without some kind of prompts. Prayers Stations help people learn to pray!
