Component

• Compassion means "to suffer with."  We listen, enter into the pain and suffering of others, cry with them and rejoice in hope with them, we help recognize the gifts they have to offer the world and we empower them as we seek to alleviate hardships. Self-compassion is an element of compassion for others.
  
• Justice means to work for systemic fair treatment for all people.  Entering into the pain and being moved with compassion, we soon come to realize that much of the suffering we witness has, at its root, unjust systems and structures.  Beyond addressing the pain of the marginalized in our community, country, and world we seek long-time solutions. 

MOSAIC Creative Space is a program I designed to help incarcerated juvenile females (13-17 yrs) develop self-awareness, emotional intelligence and self-esteem through positive relationships, body movement, creative art processes, and writing experiences. 

The desired and expected long-term outcome of the program is a positive change in behavior.  You can support us in various ways:  Join our prayer team, cut out images, purchase supplies.  Team members always needed!  EMAIL CINDY for more info!

Although Creative Space has been suspended in the local facility due to COVID-19, we are involved in writing letters to incarcerated youth through the reVision letter writing program.
